We are partnered with Webster-Montgomery County Christian Home Educators and BEST Robotics to form a robotics team for sixth grade through twelfth grade. We will actually be doing our first-ever competition this year- Go Team 88!
A local group of homeschooled students from the French Camp and Kosciusko areas have joined forces to compete in the BEST Robotics competition to be held Friday and Saturday, September 29 and 30, at Mississippi State University.
Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology (BEST) Robotics Competition is a program designed to encourage students to seek careers in engineering, science, and technology. The participants of BEST accomplish this through an annual six weeks robotic program where students form teams, build and then compete their robots in a sports-like competition. There is also an advertising, marketing and promotion component to the competition to simulate a business model. The teachers and adult mentors/coaches guide the students, but the students must design and build their team robots using only the raw materials provided by the BEST organization.
Thanks to BEST, Inc., MMCHE, and WMCHE!
